Today, the Anaheim City Council grapples with a city real estate deal. Could this be a wake-up call, or at least a cautionary tale, for the “publicly owned” Great Park? At minimum, it reinforces the importance that Irvine leaders show thoughtful planning, and hopefully finalize deals that will maximize financial and community benefits. This is our one shot at building a world-class park, which encompasses many more acres than the Anaheim deal being debated.
