11/13/18 City Council Agenda

Now that election mania is subsiding, it’s back to business. The City Council meetings start at 4:00 p.m., but the Council will recess to discuss matters under Closed Session until around 5:00 p.m. Public comments will be heard at approximately 6:30 p.m. or prior to adjournment, whichever occurs first.

Here is a LINK to the full City Council agenda for November 13, 2018, and here is what might be of interest to folks:

  • The Irvine Sunshine Ordinance.
  • A staff presentation on the Bommer Canyon Park Rehabilitation Project for final park design.
  • Mayor Wagner’s request for a $5,000 matching reward to the Anti-Defamation League for information to solve a recent hate crime.

The Sunshine Ordinance was first introduced last month and has been modified to exclude the Planning Commission open meetings from being video recorded. This important commission will still have audio recordings.

Let’s get our New Year’s resolutions going early – may we resolve for more civic engagement and voter voice! See you at the meeting!
