Finance Commissioners: D. Cheema, T. Fournier, R. Sievers, J. Shute, R. Stein
On Monday, April 15, 2019, the Finance Commission unanimously approved the proposed Fiscal Year 2019-21 budget. It will now go before the City Council in May for discussion and adoption. Two recommended actions approved (5-0) by the Finance Commission:
- The Great Park Balloon – Decommission the ballon for cost saving purposes. The operation and maintenance costs aren’t recoverable.
- Economic Development – Commissioner Schute requested that the new position of Economic Development Manager that reports under the city managers office be included in the quarterly City department budget reviews. He is looking for quantifiable results on what’s being done to enhance City revenues.
