Great Park’s Community Commercial Retail Plans

On November 16, 2023 at 5:30PM, the Planning Commission will consider community commercial retail plans for the Great Park (agenda item 3), including two drive-thru restaurants, on an approximately 11-acre site. The retail plans are located within Development District 1-South of the Great Park Neighborhoods, located in Planning Area 51.Per the Staff Report, the retail center is independent of, but designed to complement, the City of Irvine’s plans for a food and beverage hub at the Great Park.

The applicant is contemplating two similar, but different designs for the development depending on future anchor tenant selection for the two buildings.

The project site is surrounded by vacant lots planned for residential uses to the north and west, and Great Park to the east and south.Public Participation
