Meeting to Discuss District Elections and Expanding the Size of the City Council Scheduled for Tuesday, February 7, 2023

At its meeting on January 10, 2023, the Irvine City Council approved agenda item 8.3 to discuss expanding the size of the City Council and agenda item 8.4 to discuss moving to district elections. They also approved the creation of a council subcommittee to explore these proposals more fully. Subcommittee members include council members Larry Agran, Mike Carroll, and Vice Mayor Tammy Kim. Because the subcommittee consists of a majority (3 out of 5) of the City Council, their meetings are subject to the Brown Act and open to the public.
