October 24, 2020 at 3:12 amThis is great. Thank you, Ayn. Such a useful summary.
I feel there’s a towering issue that, 50 years from now, Irvine residents will look back on: Will the Great Park be built according to a thoughtful, world-class plan? Or will it be built ad hoc and piecemeal as has been the approach the past couple years? I don’t know all the candidates’ positions on this. Farrah Khan, as Chair of the Great Park Board, has said in her campaign she wants a time-out on approving new proposed projects at the Great Park until there is a plan in place. Carrie O’Malley, former chair of the Transportation Commission, has said she too supports a high-caliber master plan for the Park. How do the other candidates feel?
