Background
The California Voter’s Choice Act is a new law that will modernize elections in California. Orange County is transitioning from the traditional polling place model to the vote center model in 2020, and it will involve significant changes to the voting and elections process allowing greater flexibility and convenience for voters.
Changes
This new election model allows voters to choose how, when, and where to cast their ballot by:
- Mailing every voter a ballot
- Expanding in-person early voting
- Allowing voters to cast a ballot at any vote center within their county
