Irvine 2035 – City of Irvine General Plan Comprehensive Update

Please plan to attend an upcoming presentation by City Staff regarding Irvine’s General Plan Update. Residents may recall taking the survey online over the last year. Staff will be presenting to multiple city Commissions June 5-7 @ 5:30p  and City Council on July 24 @ 5:00p ***NEW DATE***. The General Plan guides City Council and City Planners on land use, transportation, open space, etc.

Despite the huge amounts of open space reserved in Irvine, our city is being over developed. Irvine’s population has superseded the current population plan to nearly 270K residents. The plan update will likely increase that number.

By attending one of these presentations, you’ll hear the results of the resident survey and recommendations for changes to our General Plan.  Changes to the General Plan will influence the future of Irvine and continue to support the wonderful quality of life enjoy.
