Are you passionate about improving transparency and accountability in local government? Do you have a knack for writing and want to make a difference in your community? Irvine Watchdog invites middle school, high school, and college students to submit original writing on civic issues affecting our city.
Selected submissions will be published on Irvine Watchdog and shared with the community. Top submissions will win prizes!

Contest Guidlines:
- Submit an article addressing a civic issue relevant to Irvine, such as proposing ideas, reviewing city proposals or events, or advocating for increased civic engagement within your age group.
- Articles should be informative, insightful, and engaging.
- Each participant may submit only one entry.
- Selected articles will be posted in a series of publications for public viewing.
- Prizes will be awarded to the top writer in each division. Winners will be selected by a panel of watchdog volunteers.
